What is PPM?
PPM means parts per million. It is a concentration unit used for very small amounts in chemistry, water testing, air quality, manufacturing, and quality control.
- 1 PPM equals 1 part in 1,000,000 parts.
- For water-like solutions, 1 mg/L is often treated as about 1 PPM.
- PPM can also be converted to percent by dividing by 10,000.
